The annual St. Thomas Aquinas School Booster Club Golf Tournament looked like a mad scramble at the outset because it was a scramble, a Florida scramble format.
The end result, however, netted a more orderly $10,000 to benefit the neighborhood private school.
More than 60 golfers took to the East Dallas' Tenison Highlands Golf Course to raise money for the school's pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade student athletic programs. Each year, the fundraiser benefits equipment and scholarships for St. Thomas athletics.
Last year's proceeds went toward items such as concession stand updates, improved equipment storage, championship banners, scholarships, and sports banquets.
