Lemonade and Lollipop Sale

Do you like drinking lemonade and sucking lollipops? If you do, you should have been at Lakewood Elementary in the week of April 14, 2008 to April 18, 2008 from 7:30 to 8:00 and in the afternoon from 3:00 to 3:45.

The lollipops were 25 cents and the lemonade was only 50 cents. All of the money raised from the Lemonade and Lollipop sale will go to the Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). The student council of Lakewood Elementary works on this fundraiser every single year. Every year when the student council does this fundraiser, the money goes to a different cause. This year it just happened to be the SPCA.

The student council of Lakewood Elementary had a fantastic start earlier in the year with a food drive as well as a shoe drive. On the first day, April 14th, the student council wasn't off to so great a start with the lollipop and lemonade sale, they only raised $35. On April 15, 2008 they raised $108. They have $143 so far and they still have three more days until the lemonade and lollipop sale ends.

I hope you has a change to go to Lakewood, buy some lollipops and lemonade, and support the SPCA.End of story
