Funny how things come full circle.

Recently, a reader submitted some photos for a short story we ran. We love photo submissions.

The same reader asked if we could help track down a copy of the most recent White Rock Lake Festival poster. She liked the saxophone illustration and wanted to pass it on to a relative.

We called on White Rock Lake Foundation board member Susan Falvo, who sent us the original digital art for the poster, which we printed and sent to the reader. Thanks, Susan.

In the meantime, Susan noticed advertiser Texas Massage Squad on one of our publication Web sites. She made a point of e-mailing us to express her appreciation, as a festival board member, to "the Squad" for donating to the Foundation 100 percent of their massage proceeds during the Lake Festival.

“We really appreciate our vendors and sponsors and are delighted to have participants like Texas Massage Squad!” Susan said, using an exclamation mark in her e-mail.

It's nice to live in a place where people go out of their way to be helpful and express appreciation.End of story
