C.C. Young Party Tears it Down

New construction in the White Rock area typically seems to start with a demolition.

That was the case on the C.C. Young property earlier this month, and the occasion also served as a way for facility residents to build new friendships.

The C.C. Young staff invited today's residents to meet future residents of the Overlook at C.C. Young when the new building opens in mid-2010.

The two generations of residents came together at The Point, Center for Arts and Education for a barbecue and the chance to watch an old building on the property come down to make room for the new Overlook — a 208,000-square-foot, 106-unit apartment complex.

The Levee Singers, a Dallas music group, provided the entertainment.End of story
