A woman who lives near the intersection of McMillan and Richmond avenues came home July 29 from a trip.
Please excuse the grainy quality of this photograph of Nomi.
She left her two dogs in the care of a petsitter, who failed to close a gate, allowing the woman's two dogs to get out into the neighborhood, she said in an e-mail message that's made the pet watch rounds.
The woman retrieved one of her dogs from the VCA Lakewood Animal Hospital, although the other remains missing.
Nomi, a mixed breed with reddish-brown fur and a white stomach, is 2 years old and wearing a tan leather collar. She's described as a medium build with short hair and a friendly disposition.
E-mail Nomi's human with any information about the dog's whereabouts.
