I had a revelation the other day. I was at work when my phone beeped. Luckily, my phone doesn't like to yell a provider's name like some other models.
It was an e-mail from Fastweb about making one, five, and 10 year goals. I began thinking about it, and tried imagining what I want to be doing in the year 2018.
And then it hit me. In 10 years I, Sam Bohmfalk, want to be principal of Woodrow Wilson High School.
But then my thoughts were interrupted momentarily because I had to go back to sterilizing instruments at my dad's office. Yes, I double as super-duper-cleaner-sterilizer-front office person during the week at an oral surgeon's office.
Later that day, when I began to give word to my parents and friends of my goal, the first question they usually asked was, "When did you decide that you wanted to do this?"
Naturally, I said, "When I was cleaning the periosteal elevator at my dad's office."
