A missive from State District 107 Rep. Allen Vaught's office carried a reminder that this weekend is the annual "Sales Tax Holiday" created to help Texans save money on back-to-school shopping.
From now through midnight Aug 17, select items — such as shoes costing less than $100 and backpacks for elementary and middle school students — are exempt from sales tax.
So, shop, go nuts, and don't forget the Sales Tax Holiday caroling tomorrow night.
