The Greater White Rock Area Early Childhood PTA is all about making local schools better as children work their way along the Woodrow Wilson High School feeder path.

To help strengthen all schools in the community, parents need to get involved, and the GWRA PTA wants to help that along as well. The group will host a potluck dinner starting at 5 p.m. Sept. 7 at St. Thomas Aquinas, in the St. Joseph Room.

The event offers parents a change to become acquainted and to learn about the organization and its plans for the 2008-09 school year such as children's parties, playgroups, and clubs.

Contact the organization for information about bringing entrees, sidedishes, or desserts. Admission costs $5 for people who are not members of the GWRA PTA.
