I know some people who are so organized — hi, sweetie — that their date books are open to December. Well, then, here's one for just such a person.
We received an e-mail from our bloomin' buddy Jimmy Turner at the Dallas Arboretum about a trail the horticulturists will conduct for the nursery industry. They'll be trying out 151 varieties of pansies to learn which strains are best suited to flower in Texas.
And they need volunteers to help monitor the flowers' growth, or not, as the case may be, once a week from December through March.
Sound pretty cool? Then contact Denise Robb, greenhouse and research manager.
