Lakewood Neighborhood Association
A big part of the success of any neighborhood is involvement and leadership. Lakewood is blessed with both. Current president Henda Salmeron has made it her mission to sign up all Lakewood residents in the Lakewood Neighborhood Association, to further strengthen the group and make possible its many programs and activities.
The following is from the Lakewood Neighborhood Association's web site, http://www.lakewoodneighborhood.org/, which we encourage you to visit for complete LNA information.
Lakewood Neighborhood Association (LNA) is one of the largest homeowners' associations in the city of Dallas, Texas, encompassing about 2,900 residences.
LNA focuses on issues relating to beautification and economic development, believing that an attractive, healthy neighborhood increases property values, supports existing businesses, and attracts new merchants.
Annual dues fund distribution of the Lakewood Life newsletter; beautification projects; and specific crime-watch activities. While membership is voluntary, to vote on LNA issues you must be a current paid member.
All residents are encouraged to attend the quarterly meetings and members are welcome to attend the monthly board meetings.
Our boundaries are Mockingbird to the north, Gaston-Country Club to the south, Abrams to the west, and Williamson-Winsted to the east.
Lakewood has a top-notch Crime Watch program, thanks to the Lakewood Neighborhood Association, and to Nancy Wilson who started the program and runs it still. Click on the "Crime Watch" link in the left-hand column for more information.
LNA cares about our animal friends too. Stefanie Spaeth runs the Pet Watch program (click on the "Pet Watch" link in the left-hand column) and wants to register as many Lakewoodpet owners as possible.
