Lakewood Early Childhood PTA 

Founded in 1952, the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA strives to enrich the lives of neighborhood children by encouraging friendships among families and providing support to local schools through the proceeds of the Lakewood Home Festival held in November each year. Over $350,000 has been donated in the last five years to neighborhood schools.

LECPTA is open to membership for parents with children age birth to six years (and expectant parents too!) - serving the East Dallas communities west of I-75, south of Lovers Lane, east of Grand Avenue/Garland Road, and north of I-30.

LECPTA offers many services for our member, including:

• Monthly meetings with informative speakers (check out the schedule)
• Monthly social events for the family and/or just for Mom
  
• Playgroups and special interest groups (book club, supper club, etc.)
• Monthly newsletter via email where you can find congratulations to those with new little ones, a welcome to new members, and a classified section free for parents
• Yearbook and membership directory that includes a listing of events for the year and information about all aspects of the organization
• Email updates/reminders — keep the membership informed about events, assist with family needs (e.g. nanny referrals) and inform of community wide activities

Joining LECPTA is a great way to meet other families in the neighborhood and be a part of the community.
